I work for a cpa firm. i want to know what size its considered (like small, medium, or big). Here€s the details about the firm:clients: it's got like 1000 personal clients, about 100 SMALL-business clients, a couple BIG-business clients. employees: 5 total employees, one cpa, two accountants, one bookkeeper, and one tax preparer.im curious, because people ask me if it is a large or small firm and i dont know what to tell them :-

Question : How to make partner at a large public accounting firm
I would like to make partner at the firm I will work for in the future. It is a regional firm. I will be getting a Master of Accountancy so I can get my CPA license. What other things should I look to do
Answer:
You need to work in the industry for about 10-15 years. CPA license is basically a must, but the Masters will not help or hurt you. Also you need to have the ability to bring in new clients and maintain the relationships with current ones. Also, you have to be "asked' to become partner in a firm, so the decision is not really yours. I work in public accounting and I work with managers who are VERY smart, but will never make partner because of their personalities.
