Good, as advertised

Soft and fits well. Only problem for me is that I often propel my chair with one foot, and the cushion tends to slide forward as I use my foot in that manner.There is nothing on the bottom of the cover similar to my former pad to inhibit such sliding. However, this would be no problem for persons who do not move the chair in the way I do.

I got this for my 98 year old grandfather who seems to need lots of cushions - has a skinny butt. He likes it very much and uses it most of the time (on the couch, on the padded office chair...). We've had it about a month so I can't speak for longevity. I wish I had gotten one sooner. Very happy with it.

Great Cushion

The Duro-Med wheelchair cushion is very well made; gives good padding and extra height. Really a "must have" for a person who needs to utilize any wheelchair on a regular basis.

Great idea, but not enough stuffing/foam inside. It goes flat really quick, but will plump back up very easily for daily or long-term use. It's okay, it sure doesn't feel like 4" thick foam that I'm sitting on, but it does help.

Like sitting on a piece of paper

I bought this cushion for use on my wheel chair to reduce the hard feeling so common with long periods of inactivity. The delivery time was great, the cushion looks good, but after sitting on it for about 10 minutes the cushion is worthless. It needs additional firmness for some support. It does puff back up after you get up, but for actual cushion confort you are better off getting any kind of cushion, even cotton balls.

Fits nicely in a transporter wheelchair.

I bought this for my 90-year-old mom to use with her transporter wheelchair. She said it was very comfortable. The best thing about this cushion is the removable cover you can wash. If you have a transporter wheelchair or any wheelchair that's 17-19" wide in the seat, this cushion will fit. It's a little big for 17", but it didn't seem to stick out much after my mom was sitting on it. I bought her a 17" wide seat wheelchair and was worried that the cushion might be awkward, but it was fine.

My mom also likes to use it at a back support on her sofa chair. So it's got a lot of uses to it. It's a great price on Amazon.

Comfy Coccyx Cushion

This cushion is perfect for a big guy like myself. I threw my back out and this cushion made sitting in my cube on my ancient office chair bearable. I flipped it over so the blue side is up...Doesn't call as much attention to itself that way.

Gel seat cushion

I have had back problems for years and after surgery it only got worse. I bought this cushion because sitting on a hard chair kills my back. This cushion is so much better then I expected. It really helps my back & lets me sit for longer periods of time without constantly getting up. I would recommend this product to anyone that has trouble with their back.

Terrific Cushion

I broke my tailbone 2 years ago, and any pressure caused excruciating pain. I went looking for coccyx pillows at various medical supply stores but all of the ones I found there were light-weight, and thin foamed. As soon as I sat on them they went to about 1/4" thick and my tailbone felt pressure. I purchased the Coccyx Gel seat cushion after reading the comments, and have to say it was a VERY good investment. The pad is thick enough that it doesn't compress all the way down, so my tailbone doesn't touch a hard surface. The fleece top adds an extra layer of thickness and stays cool and comfortable. I recommend this cushion 100% and plan on ordering a couple more, so I can have one for car, house and work.

Better than expected

It's a comfortable cushion and I'd recommend that anyone with a "sore tailbone" give it a trial. I use it at work - on my office chair. After using it for a couple of weeks I am thinking seriously about getting a couple more - for home and the car. Before using the cushion I had an expected sitting time of 30 minutes, or so. Today I can work comfortably for several hours. It is worth what I paid for it.

Gel cushion

I purchased this cushion for my husband who is wheelchair bound. It is the perfect size and transfers quite easily from the manual wheelchair to the power chair then to his seat lift chair. It is comfortable and easy to clean. The cut out in the back takes the pressure off of the tailbone. The price was excellent for this great product.

Comfortable

I purchased this cushion for my wheelchair bound mother. She has found it very comfortable. I have one problem with it. It's shipped flat with just gell-pellets in it. You have to fill it with water to activate the gell. You are instructed to keep the cushion flat while filling it with water. I managed to do this by placing it on a large tray. It became very hard to hold up to the faucet getting heavier and heavier as it filled. I also was never able to get the water into the corners no matter how hard I tried. All-in-all it is a good, comfortable cushion once you get it filled.
