Just a soft piece of sponge

I bought this item on the basis of its name thinking that it could give my coccyx pain some relief, it was also based on the fact that it had a high level of satisfaction from persons who bought it. When i got the item i thought what a RIP OFF. How could you enclose ordinary sponge inside a cotton sleeve and call it a medical device and charge more than 15$ for it!! How is a silly product like this going to relieve any pain or stress.

Conclusion - dont trust reviews - it could be written by fake reviewers.

cushion

Good product and was just what I needed. Sloping design is great and doesn't put pressure on you legs.

Eases pressure off your tailbone.

I used this after surgery - removal of a pilonidal cyst (on tailbone). Sitting was painful and this eased the discomfort a little by taking a little bit of pressure off of the tailbone area. So I would definitely recommend it if you have a tailbone injury or surgery like I had.. it is a coccyx (tailbone) cushion after all so if you are using it for any other reason it probably won't do much for you.

It's better than nothing

Here's the deal folks. It's not a cure all, it's only a pad for your rear end. It helps and I would rather use it than not use it but it won't change your life. It may however ease the pain for short term use. It has for me and I am glad that I bought it. Is it perfect? No. Does it help a bit? Yes.

Helpful quality product

I weight 270 pounds and have a tailbone pain problem caused by spinal stenosis. I get considerable pain when sitting on a hard or thinly padded surface. This pad helps though it's mostly crushed by my weight as expected. However it does return to it's original density.

Great for a fractured tailbone!

This gives relief from pressure and makes daily life much better.
After only a few days of using it, it has taken away irritation so the pain is better overall.

comfortable

very comfortable and durable, although it would be better if it were a bit wider and the center hole a bit wider also

Finally, the pressure is off of my spine!

After a year of recuperating from a bad case of sciatica, herniated and degerating discs in my tailbone, the degerating part remains. Sitting has been uncomfortable until this pillow came, and now, there is no pain or stiffness. The pillow takes the pressure off the tailbone! Highly recommend this pillow.

wheelchair pad

Bought this for my mom to use in her wheelchair. It works great and she really likes it.

my mother discarded it, but the cat loves it

This cushion was too thick for my mother. She told me that it made her feel as if she would fall out of the chair. So the cat adopted it as her bed. It is easy to brush shed hair from the removable cover.

Great can cusion

I bought this cusion for my daughter for her first car which was used. She has a tilebone injury and the car seat was very used and low. She loves the cusion. She said that it is the best gift. It helps her sit up higher and aids in comfort while sitting and driving. The outer cover is washable and I feel it was worth the money I spent.

Excellent product

I got one for my car, work, and seat at home. The seat helps me sit for hours, without it I can only sit a half hour. I had two back surgeries and this product has given me my mobility back. I'm not able to travel comfortably without the seat. Can't say good enough things about it.

Update: This product is still working very well for me. I've tried other seat pads similar to this and they don't work as well as this one. It has the perfect firmness for me. People look at me kind of funny when I take this to restaurants and other public places, but I don't care. I can sit pain free, so let them look.

Great product for a great price

I did a lot of research before making a purchase and this one is the best quality for the money. It is very comfortable, durable, doesn't flatten out even with extended periods of sitting. It fits well in chairs and my car and has helped a great deal in my healing. I've used it for about a month now and have absolutely no complaints. It has even helped with the back pain I had prior to injuring my coccyx. I would recommend this cushion to anyone.

Good for car seat

I bought this for my Dad because he drives long distances a couple times per week. He's 81 years old and his legs and back hurt from sitting so long. The cushion has definitely helped. The only problem is that the cover doesn't stay in place and is now ripped and coming off of the cushion (from getting in and out of the car). I'm looking to replace it with one that has the cover sewn on to the cushion instead of a removable cover.

Didn't offer much relief

I had high hopes for this cushion, but it did not deliver. My tailbone pain is only mild, just annoying enough to distract me at work all day. So, I expected this to provide relief. I'm thinking the cushion is too soft and not tall enough to isolate the problem area. Not sure.

Questions & Answers
Question : mobility rate?
my daughter is severley autistic with no speech, no sense of danger cant read and is very repetitive in her behaviour, public transport is an absolute nightmare were she will attack people without warning...stop dead in middle of roads and even run across them without warning, she can only go out with 2 people at a time so as you can imaging holidays are hard to do. She has been on the lower rate mobility since agd about 4 but i really think she needs higher rate so we can obtain a car, would she recieve it as i am not sure, i thought that the recipient needed to use some sort of mobility aid like a wheelchair. Anyone who knows a bit about this would be great if you could answer thanks e1 for your answers...sounds like its gonna be hard to get, i try to protect my daughter thats why we are a very private family, the last time i went on a bus with my daughter i knew what would happen but it had no choice but to go on and we were asked to get off because she was screaming for the wondows to be closed, as i prefer to walk i cant see me getting a letter of the bus company unless i take her on just to be asked to get off. It can be so infuriating sometimes, i know a family who get high rate mobility because there daughter is slightly deaf in one ear, yet manages to go to the shop and play out with friends something my daughter has never been able to do. Autism by the very nature differs from day to day and if i am not awarded it i probably will have to fight for it

Answer:
Extremely hard to get high mobility for a child with autism ...i had to fight to get it and it was only because it was becoming impossible for us to go anywhere and we had letters stating Thomas was being removed from public transport from the bus comapnys and it was having an affect on his twin sister who was also becoming very down about the situation so we were stuck completely...he has only been getting it a few months and he is coming up to ten ..all i can say is i wish you lots of luck

Question : Where can i find statistics regarding mobility within a country?
countries in Africa to be specific. By mobility, i mean things like number of highways, roads, cars, etc. I'm studying the spread of AIDS in Africa but I cant seem to find the right data..

Question : How do people benefit by remaining mobility aid?
How do people benefit by remaining mobility aid?

Answer:
not sure what you're asking. If you're asking how people benefit by remaining mobile, well mobile usually means they are disabled and are using a wheelchair to be mobile, i.e. to be able to get around and do their own shopping, go to college in person, and work a job at the employer's place of business.
